With over 100 amateur singers and led by renowned Musical Director Mandy Miller, Dunfermline Choral Union is one of Scotland’s leading amateur choirs. We bring together singers from West Fife and beyond to perform contemporary choral works, seasonal tunes, and favourites from the world of musicals, jazz and pop.
Our concerts are held three times a year, with guest appearances from professional soloists and musicians. In the past we have performed the Scottish premier of Rebecca Dale’s Materna Requiem and a sold-out performance of The Armed Man by Sir Karl Jenkins, as well as appearing at the historic anniversaries of Culross Abbey and St Fillans Church in Aberdour.
We rehearse weekly at The Vine Conference Centre and always welcome new voices. Our members range from beginners to experienced choristers and there’s no audition – all that’s required is enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a love of singing!
Since our foundation in 1874 DCU has become a preeminent fixture in Dunfermline’s longstanding relationship with music. Whether in the audience or as part of the DCU family, you are always very welcome to become part of our story.
